Pilgrims from Croatia honored the victims of Stalin's repressions in Bykivnya

On June 27, a group of 90 Roman Catholic pilgrims from different cities of Croatia visited the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Graves of Bykivnya".

The pilgrims laid flowers to the graves of the International memorial to the victims of totalitarianism of 1937-1941 and prayed for the souls of innocent victims. Scientific secretary of the Preserve Valery Filimoninin and senior research fellows Olga Ozolina and Mykola Brivko told the Croatian guests about the history of the creation and functioning of the former special section of the NKVD of the Ukrainian SSR, the reasons, the main stages and consequences of the Great Terror, and the falsification of the truth about Bykivnia in Soviet period.
