Representatives of the Embassies of France and Poland honored the memory of those buried in Bykivnya

The Graves of Bykivnya Reserve was visited by the delegations of the French Embassy in Ukraine headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Ukraine Etienne de Ponsen and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine headed by Deputy Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Michal Guergon.

The event was dedicated to the commemoration of the tortured by NKVD in the prisons of Kiev during the Stalinist repression and, in particular, the memory of Vladislav Servatovsky, the great-grandfather of the wife of French Ambassador Caroline Dvernitska.

The representatives of the delegations laid wreaths at the mass graves of the International Memorial to the Victims of Totalitarianism of 1937-1941, lit the lamps and honored the memory of those who died wyth a moment of silence. The members of Vladislav Servatovsky's family also put up lamps and laid flowers on a commemorative plaque with his name and tied ribbons in the colors of Polish and French flags around Bykovnian pines.
