On February 15, 2020, at the invitation of Chernihiv Central City Library named after M.M. Kotsyubynsky, the residents of the city were able to listen to the lectures "The Word Broken in Bykivnia" presented by the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Graves of Bykivnya".
The lecture was delivered by the Deputy Director General for Scientific Work of the Reserve Tetyana Sheptytska who aquanted the readers of the library, as well as the listeners of the "Free Ukrainian Language Courses in Chernihiv" with repressive policy of the Soviet authorities regarding the representatives of the creative intelligentsia, its forms and methods of realization. She paid particular attention to figures from the Bykivnia Martyrolog, analyzing in detail their contribution to the literary process and the last months of their life.
Tetyana Sheptytska also spoke about the work of the secret plot of the NKVD of the USSR in Bykivnia forest and the long process of discovering the truth about this special object and about the crimes of Stalinism in general. After the lecture she answered the questions of the attendees.
