On March 16, 2021, the Bykivnia Graves National Historical and Memorial Reserve took part in an event dedicated to the presentation of Ukraine's tourist opportunities for guests from Poland. The organizers were the Polish Tourist Chamber and the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine. The event gathered about 80 participants interested in traveling to the central regions of Ukraine.
Representatives of Polish companies had the opportunity to get acquainted with how the tourism industry of our country works in quarantine and can attract travelers from Poland. In particular, the representative of the non-governmental organization Visit Ukraine Elena Shapovalova noted such a variety as military-historical and patriotic tourism and cited as an example the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Graves of Bykivnya". Olga Ozolina, Head of the International Relations Department of the Reserve spoke in more detail about what and why Bykivnya is interesting for guests from Poland. She also stressed the possibility of conducting tours in Polish language, the safety of visiting the reserve, taking into account all the sanitary and epidemiological requirements of today, and answered a number of questions from Polish tour operators about the former NKVD special site in Bykivnyansky forest and on organization of visits.
