Roman Catholics in Kyiv and Boryspil commemorated the victims of the Great Terror

On November 7, 2021, representatives of the Consulate of the Republic of Poland, priests and laity of the Roman Catholic parishes of Kyiv and Boryspil visited the Graves of Bykivnia National Historical and Memorial Reserve.

The commemoration event was held on the occasion of All Saints' Day, in which Christians of the Western rite traditionally commemorate their ancestors. At the International Memorial to the Victims of Totalitarianism 1937-1941, in particular, at the Polish Military Cemetery, a memorial mass was held for the souls of all those tortured by the communist regime.

After the Mass, the Scientific Secretary of the Reserve Valery Filimonikhin gave a lecture-tour for the audience, in which he told about the history of the special spot of the NKVD of the USSR in Bykivnia Forest.
