On November 11, 2021, an online lecture was held for students and teachers of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Literary Creativity of the Drahomanov National Pedagogical University. The excursion to the Reserve, which took place some days ago, prompted them to take a deeper interest in the Bykivnia theme and to organize the event.
The lecture of Tetyana Sheptytska, Deputy Director General for Research, gathered a large audience - more than a hundred students and professors joined the broadcast. The lecturer spoke about the heterogeneity and peculiarities of the literary process of the 1920s - 1930s, its protagonists and the socio-political and artistic atmosphere in which Ukrainian writers worked. Tetyana Sheptytska acquainted the listeners with the artistic achievements of the writers of the Shot Renaissance generation and their contribution to literature. She dwelled in more detail on the life path and circumstances of the destruction of the most famous Ukrainian writers represented in the Bykivnia Martyrology.
After the lecture, Tetyana Sheptytska answered students' questions about working with archival materials.
