Honoring the victims of totalitarianism on the occasion of Poland's Independence Day

Оn November 11, 2021, celebrations on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the restoration of independence of the Republic of Poland were held on the territory of the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Graves of Bykivnia". The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine Bartosz Cichotski, the head of the Polish Institute in Kyiv Robert Chyzhevsky and representatives of the Reserve and the diplomatic corps.The participants laid wreaths and flowers.

The participants of the event laid flowers and wreaths to the mass graves at the International Memorial to the Victims of Totalitarianism 1937-1941 and lit candles. A memorial bell rang in memory of the fallen. Vicar of the Cathedral of St. Alexander in Kyiv Mihal Brankevich read a prayer.
