On November 19, 2021, the Brovary Museum of Local Lore was visited by Tetyana Sheptytska, Deputy Director General for Research at the Bykivnia Graves Reserve, and Valery Filimonikhin, Scientific Secretary of the Reserve.
With the support of the culture department of Brovary City Council, representatives of the Reserve conducted a series of video lectures on the history of the secret NKVD special unit in Bykivnia Forest and the fate of certain categories of citizens who died during the Great Terror. In particular, Tetyana Sheptytska provided general information about the social, age, gender section of the Bykivnia martyrology and acquainted with known and little-known figures buried in the Reserve. And Valery Filimonikhin spoke about the anti-Polish operation of the NKVD in Kyiv region and the peculiarities of its implementation by the Soviet repressive authorities.
From Acting Director of the Brovary Museum of Local Lore, representatives of the Reserve discussed plans for possible cooperation.
