On November 17, 2018, the National Historical Memorial Reserve "Graves of Bykivnia" was attended by the participants of the educational seminar “How to agree with the past”. Young scholars, historians, community activists, journalists, political scientists, those who work with initiatives in the humanitarian sphere, from different cities of Ukraine - Kiev, Kharkov, Lvov, Ostrog, Boguslav, Dnipro several days were finding out why the institutions of national memory arise only in post-totalitarian states, and tried to find new formats for working with the past. Answers to these questions they tried to find during a visit to the Reserve.
On November 11, celebrations with flowers laying on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the restoration of independence of the Republic of Poland took place on the territory of the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Graves of Bykivnya".
May 20, 2018, commemoration of the victims of political repressions with the participation of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, representatives of the Government, the Verkhovna Rada, Kyiv City State Administration, the diplomatic corps, relatives of the repressed people and the public took place тon the territory of National Historical and Memorial Reserve “Graves of Bykivnya”.
An expanded version of the photo-documentary exhibition "The Word Broken in Bykivnya", prepared by scientists of the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Graves of Bykivnya" in cooperation with Ukrainian independent publishing house "Smoloskyp" was openes in the premises of the Kyiv City Council and the Kyiv City State Administration on May 20, 2018.
December 13, 2017 the presentation of the exhibition "Crossing the Kiev Styx" took place in Mariupol State University. This exhibition is a joint project of the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Graves of Bykivnya" and "Kyiv Society of Greeks named after K. Ypsilanti. " It is devoted to the fate of the Kiev Greeks, shot as a result of the so-called "Greek operation" - mass repression against representatives of the Greek community in all the republics of the USSR.
August 24, 2017 National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Graves of Bykivnia" hosted the participants of the XVII International Katyn Motocross. Bikers from the "Rajd Katyński" ("Katyn Motocross") organization from various parts of Poland paid tribute to the memory of the Poles buried in the Bykivnia forest and other victims of Stalinist repression.
